This game is pure speed, adrenaline, and white knuckle racing taken to the extreme. I bought Burnout 2 some time ago and didn't think it could get much better than that. I loved that game for its insane speed, graphics, and especially the crashes. Crash mode in Burnout 2 was so much fun it was unreal.Burnout 3 makes 2 look primitive by comparison. There is such a sense of extreme speed in 3 that no other game I've seen has come even close to having. This game feels dangerous. The addition of takedowns was a genius move: its added a layer of aggressive strategy that I can't imagine playing without now. I'm not going to go into detail about every little bit of the game, you can go to official magazine or website reviews for that. There are a number of play modes to choose from, all of which are fun. The world tour mode (which is where everything is unlocked) is excellent, combining every aspect of the game into a system of increasing difficulty, but also variety. Some have complained that the crash mode levels are not all unique, with some being extentions or other minor changes, but I have to disagree. With all the additions made to crash mode, changing anything on a level changes it completely. With the ability to steer your wreck after a crash you are able to destroy more vehicles or obtain more power ups, and in fact this is often required in order to meet the requirements for the lowest of medals. This is not a game to read about. Like intimate encounters, its all about the experience. Secondhand information is good, but its all about the experience.the game is pretty awesome. my son n eye loved the demo n still played it regularly, I figured it was time to get the game finally now that he kinda gets a lil bit more game time. we're happy we bought it tho... the game still is still fun compared to stuff that's out nowadays. the commentating by stryker gets a bit old after a while... would b nice if we could turn that down a bit... no offense to him.. hehe. well maybe just a bit.Classic. Best race game of all time. Try it....The original Xbox I recieved as a gift last winter still works. I'm not ready to get an Xbox 360 yet to play hot top Xb1 games like this 3rd installment of the Burnout franchise- Takedown that is. I got this version since the PS2 version I bought at Gamestop months ago didn't work, because the PS2 version was used and had tons of dented scratches. That's why I bought the Xbox version to see if that worked and it did.Burnout 3 is a madhouse racing game and I like it. Best one aside to "Revenge".My grown sons LOVE this ridiculous game... probably because they are not paying for the damages these wrecks are costing ... funny really, but I am wondering if I went wrong somewhere as a parent to not instill the value of a dollar somewhere? .... LOL.... I guess I am glad for a stress relief for them in all the stress they face these days... they will have time enough as young men to realize the reality of life later... enjoy the moment I guess.I was fine with buying just the disc of this game, without the case. That's what I had figured the "acceptable" quality description was all about. One copy I own already freezes occasionally, so I thought I'd buy another copy of Burnout 3 to see if I wouldn't have that issue. The disc I received in the mail was badly scratched and the Xbox wouldn't read it at all. A disc with scratches as bad as this copy has shouldn't be sold in the first place.Best Burnout game, hands down. We have 6 different consoles in our household including 2 next gen and out of all the racing games out there for them, this is the best I've played. Well....this and Mario Kart 64.Is it realistic? No. Are there name brand cars? No. Do I care? No. Because you get to race while destroying things that make you go faster. This came came in a broken case, which isn't the biggest deal, but it looks bad. The biggest problem is that it does not work at all. Game stays on loading screen and will do nothing else. I am highly disappointed, as the ad stated "tested and working". I'm not a fan of deception.Oversights happen, and I understand that. But they should be carefully avoided when dealing with others' time and money, and I don't feel this seller paid any attention to that. I wish 0 stars was an option.Disque un peu rayé, mais fonctionneThis game cane in way before the expected shipping date, runs great and looks like they even resurfaced the disc!!!Worked perfect on my xbox 360Beau cd sans rayuresOne of the best racing games out there, Burnout 3 sets the standard by which all other racing games must be judged.
