Just want to start with Im not disapointed with my decision to buy this particular sim wheel. What im disapointed about is the lack of honest straight forward descriptions. So the weel itself is plastic or at least a plastic housing. Ok yeah it is just a toy. Wait a toy that if i place my hand wrong the force feed back could injure me? With plastic. So id say at least 98% of these sim racing wheels say there metal of somekind you know like a real car stearing wheel. Um the paddle shifters feel like there bending just from use. not to be cofused with overuse. The plastic break and gas pedals, (no clutch?) Actually feel really good theres no real sence of presure but there is restance so its not to bad but you cant really use one foot cause the adjustable plates on the pedals are wierdly big. Its almost like they had no idea what they where doing. The base of the wheel feels real sturdy and has a fair amount of weight to it. I guess its dual band and mabye a gear for the stearing and force feed back. It feels not at all like what i thought. In fact i kinda think i got a defective one. I mean it works as far as i can tell, but feals dry and like a out of aline gear. Kinda like half working power stearing. So this is probably the most important bit. Button maping? Yeah well no. Only if the game doses it in there options. As far as Assetto Corsa goes kinda as long as you use the buttons they allow but dont tell you. Its trial and error. So your left with 4 buttons that are double duty for the options menu and shifting up down. Why why why. This is only being used on xbox one s. Even though i hooked it up to my laptop to see the setting and was able to kinda get it to work good until i unpluged it from comp cause the save files dont go from comp to xbox. Or something like that. Blah... Problem is i cant fine tune it and i cant remap the buttons. For $299.99 you would think you would get these features since a 40$ controller can. Now you can set levals of options like ffb, cerb ffb, road ffb, (as far as asseto corsa) and none of witch really help you with a discription so you have to look it up on you tube, then it wont be for your exact wheel+game so youll round up/ down the values and hope for the best. If you have a family or roommates and you need to use headphones? You have to plug in to your controller and set it to not turn off. O wait i have yet to find this setting. so every few minuts itll shut off and lag your game. Unless you listen to music at same time you race. Oh and and probably the worst is there is secret" or hiden" settings. Now to me theses should be praised not hidden. You can download this info from thrustmaster. How to work the menu that chnges on the fly: like the degrees for the stearing. 270, 360, 6??, and 900 and the other is a sensativity setting. default, low, mostly low, and really superlow. Let me end this by saying all in all if you can get it right it plays really good and i would suggest this for a sim driver that is new to wheels but not new to sim games. Oh i almost forgot. The add ons, a choice of 2 triple pedal set ups with a forth as long as you can get the adapter plug. A shifter again same as pedals. And a handbreak except that one a mod and its going to be expensive. Not unlike the other 2 and the usb hub for conections cauae this wheel dosent have enough holes to plug these add ons in. And they actually cost more then the wheel peddle combo i paid for. So there it is in my words a proper discription. My TMX Pro arrived earlier this week. I am thrilled that I purchased this product. I love the force feedback and the ability to drive like a wild man at home without any problems such as broken bones and broken vehicles. I began getting interested in purchasing a system like this after recently getting back into sim racing. I tried it with a joystick again and quickly began a quest to get a wheel of some sort. I owned a wheel long ago and sold it.I did a decent amount of research via online videos and then reading a review from another person. For an average guy sitting at home, there are pedals for in excess of $1,000, easily. I also learned that a person can become a better driver whether they are using these items, or a multi-thousand dollar set-up.I bought this for my PC, a Dell running Windows 10, fully updated. Follow the installation instructions.I have only used this for iRacing, which I subscribed to because it was onsale (nice!)It was so easy to get this up and running on my PC, and the wheel feels awesome, and the force feedback is great. The pedals are awesome. I own a standard auto, but my car is a not a racecar, therefore this is exciting & new to be free to test out different cars and with different transmission setups to where I don't need the clutch, but it is there when I want to use it.This wheel is easy to connect to a table. The pedals are awesome silver colored and feel great. I was thinking about spending more but my research found that this is plenty for an average guy. I would be happy to buy this again.I owned a system similar to this long, long ago but it did not have force feedback. The FF on this is very enjoyable and truly does cause the same emotional issues that someone would feel as if they were really in a vehicle that is doing more than 100MPH around a corner in a race car. It is awesome to feel the surge in energy but when it is over, you calm slightly and realize that, yes, I am sitting at home in a comfortable chair with the flatscreen to my left playing whatever, because once you get behind the wheel of a race car and this wheel/pedal system, you have to pay attention, and this wheel keeps your attention. The rubber part of the rim at your 9 & 3 O'Clock positions, feels superb on the hands. The top and bottom is plastic, but for this price it doesn't matter because everything else is just wonderful. Next time I am at the store I may get a set of inexpensive gloves to wear to try to get better racing times, but I do like the rubber parts of the rim.The joy stick I was using is the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. It works but for iRacing, I now believe that a wheel is the way to go. This system makes it a lot easier to drive than the stick. And this system for $250 is a good deal for the price. The none-pro set for $50 less has only two pedals. And the pedals sold separately are a lot for than the $50 extra dollars.I would pend the extra money again to make sure that I got the three-pedal system that is with this.A 1st time subscriber to iRacing got me a big discount, so I took it. I have come to enjoy watching races and now I am off to drive myself. After using this wheel and pedals, I know I have a system good enough, if I could drive. I am not good at driving in real life, but I learned long ago that PC driving can increase driving skills. For example, I drove a monster truck simulation way back. A friend had an old Ford pickup with pretty big tires on it. Because I had experience driving trucks with large tires, I was able to easily out drive another friend that was with us when we took the truck off road.Yes, that's right. Those two did not realize the power of my PC back then and its ability to prepare me for a real world situation. That old monster truck simulation did help me a lot. I knew what I was doing. This wheel is going to pay for itself by making me a safer driver. If you don't want to spend too much, but have a great time, then buy this wheel. For the money its a very good wheel. How long it will last will depend how good you take care of it. Input and output feel is good and it gives a decent simulation. There are adjustment for the force feedback as well. Fit and finish is good and feel is good. There are better wheels, but like I said, for the price this is a good wheel. This is my 2nd wheel in 3 years. I kinda beat on the first wheel a bit. It did last 3 years though. The first wheel I purchased at GameStop which came in mint condition. This 2nd wheel I purchased through Amazon, and they beat the crap out of the box during shipment. Some minor scratches on the wheel base and peddles. I would have thought the shipper would have put the item in another shipping box with Styrofoam and bubble wrap padding. So the blame is really on the shipper and not Amazon. Over all its a good wheel. I did upgrade the peddles to a 3 style clutch base.Got this for my son for Christmas to go with his Playseat Evolution Pro. Overall the wheel has been great. Only took a star off because sometimes it's finicky for the Xbox to connect to it even though the wheel has power from the Xbox. Running this on Series X. So much fun.Love this wheel for my series x. No issues.I use this together with iRacing. I had to upload new drivers from the manufacturer website to get it to work. Almost returned it but thankfully the drivers got it up and running. The wheel itself is awesome. Much better than what I used to own years ago. The pedals are crappy, but I knew that going in and not surprising given the price point. I'm not a serious sim racer so this will do.Thrustmaster, I need you to contact me regarding this, the wheel has been acting weird lately and the force feedback doesn't work properly. I contacted amazon and they told me to contact you through this review. I want a refund if you can help me. Please respond as quickly as possible. For the price, this is a decent entry - mid level racing wheel. The combination of one belt and gears is a bonus, compared to competing units that only have gears (ie the Logitech G29 and G920). You can certainly feel the difference that the one belt makes. The force feedback is not as "notchy" feeling as compared to the Logitech models. The pedals are great, and the brake pedal can be even be adjusted with a clever rubber stopper. This rubber stopper can be removed or relocated to the clutch side - very cool indeed. There are some downsides though. The materials are no where near as good as found on the Logitech models. The wheel is all plastic and rubber, and it feels a little rough and cheap. I'm also not a fan of the bulky clamp. This clamp does not play nice with the Playseat challenge racing seat. I was surprised to find out that the base of the unit does not accept any bolts. You're stuck always having to use the clamp. So, if you're all about force feedback (like I am) this is the better model. But if the steering wheel feel is more important, the Logitech units reign supreme.I have purchased this product last year, after a lot of deliberation and research on the internet. I was previously using Thrustmaster Ferrari challenge, which is a very basic wheel without any force feedback. I can say after using this wheel for about an year, that it is worth every penny. It has enhanced the gaming experience, and the force feedback is comparable with the high end wheels like Logitech G29. I have played F1 2016, Forza Motorsport 6, Project CARS on Xbox One. It integrates seamlessly to Xbox One. Just plug and play. Connect to PC is also straightforward. You just need to install a driver from the Thrustmaster website. I have played Euro Truck Simulator 2 on PC, where It's 900 degree wheel rotation is very helpful. The pedals could be better, but you can live with them. Pedals can be mounted using screws on driving cockpit. They have standard screw threads. But the wheel is table mount only. I have managed to mount using it on a driving cockpit. It mounts very well on both.Thanks.Racing games on a controller not only feel funny but handle horribly. The wheel with feed back feels more natural and allows you to grab the car in a slide. the wheel feels super loose in the direction of the slide just like a real car till you oversteer and the wheel gets resistance to your turn. It is fun. Next wheel will be a Fanatec, if i wear this one out.If you zone in on the game and not the wheel working to do its thing you can get right into the action. I suggest headphones to drown out the wheel, not loud but still working away with every bump.
